This past winter, Philly Women began to assist, recruit for, and help coach the new independent girl's high school rugby club, PA United Rugby, which welcomes coaching, resources, and administrative support from all area senior rugby clubs.
Philadelphia Women’s Rugby is now accepting applications for the position of DIII Head Coach / Club Assistant Coach effective Spring 2018. The club will cover all travel and coach development expenses and will include a seasonal salary of $1250. The ideal candidate has club or collegiate level coaching experience (men or women), is able to commit to weekly practices and Saturday games, and is interested in coaching both elite and developmental players.
Join us in welcoming the newest addition to the Philly Women family: The Philly Ladies! Our new high school girls team will be based in Conshohocken. Preseason practices start on January 30th, 2018. Regular practices and matches start in March. No prior rugby experience is required!
Schuylkill River RFC, Philadelphia Women’s RFC, and the North Philadelphia Nomads RFC are proud to announce that they have teamed up to run a summer rugby program at the NE Frankford Boys and Girls Club. The teams had already been doing monthly sessions with the Club’s kids, who are in kindergarten through sixth grade, so stepping up and doing a more ambitious weekly program was a logical next step. The ten week program sees coaches, players, and administrators from all three teams join forces to give back to the community and help develop the game on the grassroots level.
