Philly Women Finish 7th

Philly Women wrapped up their season in Sanford, FL at Elite 8s. Philly Women had a rough first match against Oregon State Union (ORSU), losing 41-24. ORSU was able to adjust well to Philly's defense and was able to break through the Philly line a number of times. Despite the loss, Philly Women came back on Sunday to solidly defeat Atlanta 26-6, earning the spot for 7th place. The team played much harder and cohesively on Sunday, ending the season strongly. "The trip to Elite 8 shows how the players have really stepped up their game, mentally and physically. We struggled against ORSU Friday, but bounced back on Sunday against Atlanta and dominated every aspect of play. The team knows now what they are capable of, and I'm confident we're going to see big things going forward. This was a thrilling season to be part of and I'm very proud of everyone," says Head Coach Lisa Rosen.
