The park entrance is on the East side of State Road about 100 yards South of Rhawn Street (if you hit Rhawn turn around)
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike
Take Exit 28 (Philadelphia) to US Route 1 South
approx 2 miles and stay in the right lanes to Rte 63 E (Woodhaven Road)
Travel approximately 3 miles to I95
Take I95 South
Then follow directions for South on I95
From North on I95
Take Exit 30 (Cottman Avenue)
(its exit 30, not 22 off I95)
Stay in the right on the exit ramp
Go right at the traffic light (State Road North) at end of ramp
You will travel approx 0.5 miles
Park entrance on right
Look for entrance sign for Riverview
Follow road straight to the river
Do not turn into the Riverview Facility on the left
Continue straight - follow the park road to fields
From South on I95
Take Exit 30 (Cottman Avenue)
(its exit 30, not 22 off I95)
Go right at the traffic light at the end of the exit ramp
Go to the first traffic light - approximately 200 yards
At State Road - turn right (North)
Park entrance on right (approx 0.25 mile)
Look for entrance sign for Riverview
Follow road straight to the river
Do not turn into the Riverview Facility on the left
Continue straight - follow the park road to fields
GRAY'S FERRY PRACTICE FIELD
29th & Wharton Sts.Philadelphia, PA 19146
From 76 East/West:
Take the Grays Ferry/University City exit. Take a left off of the exit. At the end of the bridge, make a left. Go to 31st Street. Make a right onto 31st Street. Make a left at the second stop sign. This will be Wharton Street. The field is two blocks down. You will see the lights.
From 95 North/South:
Take I-95 to 676 West-Central Philadelphia Exit. Take the exit for 76 West. Take the Grays Ferry/University City exit. Take a left off of the exit. At the end of the bridge, make a left. Go to 31st St. Make a right onto 31st St. Make a left at the second stop sign. This will be Wharton Street. The field is two blocks down. You will see the lights.
From Center City:
Go West (Walnut, Lombard, etc.) until 23rd Street. Make a Left onto 23rd Street. This street turns into Grays Ferry Avenue when you cross South Street. Continue on Grays Ferry until you reach 29th Street. Make a left onto 29th Street. The second street over is Wharton. The field will be on your right. You will see the lights. You may want to circle around the block and park on Wharton. There should be plenty of space.
From West Philladelphia:
Go East (Chestnut, Spruce, etc.) until you reach 49th Street. Make a right onto 49th Street. Follow 49th Street to Woodland Avenue. Make a left onto Woodland Ave. Make an IMMEDIATE right onto Grays Ferry Avenue. Continue across the bridge until you get to 31st Street. Make a right onto 31st Street. Make a left at the second stop sign. This will be Wharton Street. The field is two blocks down. You will see the lights.
Via Public Transportation-SEPTA
Take the 12 Bus anywhere along Walnut St until 23rd Street. Exit the bus at 30th Street in front of the Pathmark. Cross the intersection and walk 2 blocks to the field.
EDGELY FIELD:
From Center City Philadelphia:
Take the Ben Franklin Parkway towards the Art Museum. Keep towards the right of the traffic circle. The Art Museum is on your left as you pass it. This is Kelly Drive. Follow Kelly Drive for a while until you see a large statue of a man on a horse (Grant) on your right. Take a right at the statue onto Fountain Green Dr. Follow the road up the hill, past a red brick mansion on your left. Take a left at Randolf St. (Note: the street sign has a habit of getting stolen, so it may not be present.). Follow road around and park in front of the yellow mansion. Pitch is on the right.
From 76 East/West:
Take Exit 340A - Kelly Drive (left exit from 76 East; right exit from 76 West). Follow Kelly Drive for a while until you see a large statue of a man on a horse (Grant) on your left. Take a left at the statue onto Fountain Green Dr. Follow the road up the hill, past a red brick mansion on your left. Take a left onto Randolf St. (Note: the street sign has a habit of getting stolen, so it may not be present.). Follow road around and park in front of the yellow mansion. Pitch is on the right.
From 95 North/South:
From 276 East - PA Turnpike:
Take Exit 333 - Norristown. Take 476 South towards Chester. Take Exit 16 - 76 East towards Philadelphia. Take Exit 340A - Kelly Drive (left exit off of 76 East). Follow Kelly Drive for a while until you see a large statue of a man on a horse (Grant) on your left. Take a left at the statue onto Fountain Green Dr. Follow the road up the hill, past a red brick mansion on your left. MEMORIAL HALL:
From 76/Schuylkill Expressway
Take Exit 341 (Montgomery Drive) and turn onto Montgomery Drive. Turn left onto Belmont Avenue - which is first traffic light. Turn left onto Avenue of the Republic (formerly N. Concourse Drive) - which is first traffic light. The pitch is on your right at the intersection of Avenue of the Republic and W. Memorial Hall Drive.
